During the spring and summer of 1987 the band made appearances at 14 retirement centers, nursing homes and community/civic events. The concerts were accompanied by small monetary donations which were used to begin a band-owned music library. Late that year the band applied for tax exempt status, registered as a Not-For-Profit Corporation and elected its first officers and executive committee to handle the growing complexities of band business. |
